Learning with music

Perhaps the thought of letting your kids loose on drums, keyboards, and maracas is already giving you a headache! However, getting your child into music at a young age lays a solid foundation for their own musicality, in terms of both understanding and creativity. Toy drums and baby music making machines are guaranteed to get your child thinking in terms of rhythm and melody, as will singing, e.g. lullabies, as well as the metric flow of nursery rhymes and playground chants. Once your child is past the age for these, then it’s time to get their them their first proper instrument - a ukulele, perhaps, or a set of drums. Intersperse this with digital music making, such as Drum Pad Machine which you can download on Google Play, and you’re setting the stage for a future DJ, a future dancer, a future mezzo soprano, or just someone who adores music!
